Biomedical Research Associate in Osteoarthritis
Salary Range £23,560 - £28,930Applications are invited for
an aspiring scientist to work on a project funded by the Arthritis Research
Campaign investigating the protective role of protease inhibitors in
osteoarthritis. The candidate will participate in a collaborative project
between Dr. George Bou-Gharios (Medicine) and Professor Hideaki Nagase
(Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology). Specifically, the candidate will
investigate the structural and biochemical changes in articular cartilage
following OA induced models in vivo.
The successful post-holder will hold a BSc or equivalent. A working
knowledge and experience in histology and immunocytochemistry will be
advantageous. We will train the newly qualified graduate in molecular
techniques and the possibility to register for a higher degree. This
may suit a biomedical scientist who wish to embark on a new career in
pathology.
This post is fixed term for three years and is based at the Hammersmith
Hospital Campus located in
East Acton, London, UK.
